Me again... More inane questions for the forum

I wish to secure my iPAQ within the Chim so that I can use it as Navigation/Mapping tool. However I cannot seem to find the ideal location for it.

I have tried most of the mounting products that Arkon supply, but have discounted all of them as too big, too bulky, too ugly or by the fact that they just get in the way.

The most convenient location I have found is to Velcro it against the middle beading of the dash that separate the heater controls / gauges from the radio.

Now, before I go slapping on glue all over the leather/wood ....

a. Where have people located their iPAQ's so that it is conveniently within reach but does not foul the controls and driver/passenger seating arrangements.

b. What glue/Velcro strip should I use so that while giving me a secure mounting point, it can still be removed without making a mess of the leather?

TIA

Wires hidden in the screen trim, i-pod on the sun visor

Haven't done it myself, but have seen a sat nav done like it. It looks really smart, keeps the clean lines of the dash and you can easily see the display

Not this year am afraid

Yes, Did notice that you were in W Sussex as well. Hence the cheeky request for an "up close and personal" view of your car as I would like to do something similar at some point (in the distant future)
