Just to let everyone know that if they are about and fancy a blast out in the Leicestershire country side then the East Midlands and some of the North Yorkshire TVR Car Club are meeting in the Carrington Arms, Ashby Folville, Leicestershire -

There number is 01664 840228 if anyone wants directions of the chef/bar staff etc.

The place is used for loads of car functions and is situated opposite a traditional english cricket pitch.

It is about 30 minutes from Junction 21a M1.

we will all be there and fingers crossed the weather will be a scorcher.

East Midlands Newsletter states:-

Sunday August 10th at lunchtime – Carrington Arms, Ashby Folville, Leicestershire.
This is the day after Mania and I am lead to believe that some of the North Yorks contingent, who will be staying overnight in the area, may descend upon us.

Tap water anyone? I must be about your turn?

Anyway the beer (watered down of course) is good there.

Be careful on the little village bridge as you may lift off over the cricket pitch on the way in...it may make that strangly louder than usual exhaust system a bit more throaty - Look just get a Cerbera and it's sorted..I know a nice Blue one..

It's sounding tempting, especially as a certain Orangey cerby is due back this week I'll be seeing Smols tonight and see what he's doing, but racegirls told me my Sunday consists of mainly sitting in the pool drinking Stella
Feel free to drop by on your way home if we don't make it

Funny thing is our next door neigbours garden is full of inflatable toys, pool, small bouncey castle thing, etc, but they've got the excuse of having a kid, s'pose I've got the excuse of having a racegirl, but our pool is bigger than theres

We have the space where the cricket pitch is too for another 20 cars so all goes well for that and set to be a good one, bring your camera's and we will show everybody what the East Midlands are made of.

Hopefully Raceboy will get out of his party pool and join us.

Just posting to keep you all aware of tomorrow anyone is invited TVR owner or not - it's a club for people interested in TVR and not just owners.

By the way this coming Tuesday at this pub - weather permitting theree will be a massive turn out of classic and sports cars on the side of the cricket pitch ----so if you can't make it between 12pm and 3pm tomorrow get down on Tuesday night

28 TVR's made it and for those of you who like sportscars, this coming Tuesday 12th August at the same venue there is one of the largest classic and sports car meetings of the year (weather permitting)

A selection of the TVR's parked on the cricket pitch today

Excellent meet - enjoyed it and the company - even passed TMS on way home (like an eye spy book of TVR dealers- another ticked off!)
