Thats just NSW alone!

It must really suck to be on your P plates there.

It annoys me how the people who invent these 'laws' talk about how successfull it is....after all they got 15,000 dangerous drivers off the road right...but its only working because the laws are so tight that the slightest infringement means a loss of license!
No wonder so many people 'forget' to stick their P plates on their car.

WA is next in line for similar laws...time to get your license!!

Given the standard of driving by P Platers i would think that that is how many actually got their P Platers because it sure wasnt through quality of driving....

Must admit, 9 out of 10 times I see someone driving like a tt they are on P Plates. First thing I look for when being tailgated is the plate in the windscreen.

Mind you, the other day I saw a B Double tanker with "at 60 km/h this truck takes 37 car lengths to stop, so please allow room at junctions etc" written across the back. It was being driven at 80km/h and was about 10 feet from the truck in front.....fcensoredkwit.

Pile of poo really.

I was a P plater with a BMW. I was relatively sensible, but I was pulled over every friday and saturday night if I was driving. Not for anything, just for a "RBT" or "we need to see if your vehicle is roadworthy" kind of thing. Waste of time and absolute harrassement. Was accused of dealing drugs and all kinds of things.

Just one of those things. It's a great money making exercise for the government and it is a bit disapointing to see a group of people who complain about the ludicrous levels of policing in this country cheering because it is only young drivers being affected

And for the record I'm off my P's now.

Way to take something out of context cretin.

I was referring to being constantly pulled over by individual police cars with no reason given. This usually took half an hour as there was arguments about their legal right to search my car. Not roadworthiness, but other things.

I still get pulled into set up RBTs by the side og the road which I have no problem with, and every now and again I get pulled over for an RBT when leaving the pub carpark, but every third car does (we have a big drink driving problem in my area) but the approach is very different. More of a quick licence check, speak into the device and away you go. Not a 30 minute delay by the side of the road

This stopped happening the day I got off my P plates.
