Hi,
A couple of months ago my father managed to win a Ford Focus RS, World Rally Spec in a competition (He is the type who will enter competitions for absolutely everything and anything )
It is a beautiful car and has had a lot of modifications:

Uprated brakes
Uprated coil over suspension
Uprated engine - power approaching 350 brake horse power
GT28 turbo charger
Full spin steel exhaust system and manifold
Bespoke inlet system
Superchip
Full world rally car body kit worth £5000
Non-standard wheels/alloys worth £2000
Roll cage
Racing front seats
Racing harnesses

Unfortunately it is not the kind of car you can just stick on Auto Trader and sell so this is where we need some help.

Can someone please recommend the best way to value and sell this car, or point me the direction of a person/company that would sell it on commission maybe ?
I have uploaded to YouTube the promo video from the competition to give a better idea of the car itself

Any replies / PM's gratefully received - please accept my apologies in advance for my lack of technical knowledge.

Try FFOC (Ford Focus Owners Club) to help with guide pricing.

www.pistonheads.com/sales when you come to advertise.

Hi

You have won the PumaSpeed demo car..... Nice One.....

On here would be the best place to sell it.

The power engineering Focus has been for sale on Piston heads for a while that had a similar spec but with 400bhp and he wanted about £16500 for that.

There are lots of RS's for sale for about 12-14K at the moment and not many are selling...

The main problem with the car is it is not everyones cup of tea..

But i reckon if you put it up for 15500 - 16000 i would be a fair price...

Its a shame you didn't catch me about 1 month ago as i would have bitten your arm off for that car....

If you want any more help please PM me.

Regards

Shame you cannot keep the car, its very well built.

As above definatly try here first as i think you have a more serious buyer looking for a car on here rather than say ebay or passionford.

Many thanks for all the replies and PM's.
I will take some photos tomorrow and put on the classified section early next week for £14k, I won't put anywhere else to start with as I really do want it to go to a real enthusiast which all the guys on this site seem to be.

Try advertising on www.passionford.com if you haven't already.

Easily the largest Ford forum out there.

I would stop advertising the car as 'WRC spec' though mate and put 'WRC replica' or 'WRC look'

I know you know nothing about the car as you said already mate. For your info real WRC spec cars have nothing in common apart from the bumpers and spoilers with your dads one.... They are £300+k 4wd science labs on wheels.

Hope that helps and good luck with the sale

Hi

I think he has sold the car on to a dealer in Essex, who now wants £19k for the car..... It is on Ebay at the moment.

Yeah car was sold to a trader for a VERY low sum & has now been heavily marked up compared to what the market value of any FRS is

Ad here - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-FORD-FOCUS-2-0-RS-WRC_W...

@ Porkie - he only advertised it as "WRC spec" as that is how Pumaspeed sold / advertised the car when they owned it wink

Matt he no longer has the car - as per my last post it was underwritten to a dealer called Poolside who are currently selling the car for about £20k
