Righto chaps. Quick question for the oracle that is PH.

We are developing an app (web-based) specifically for Blackberry...yes you'll be able to do your Timesheets and book Holidays on the company ProjXNET server using your Blackberry.

Actually it will eventually target as many Smartphone browsers as possible including iPhone (that's easy!). We are doing quite well - the first version is approaching Beta now.

We are developing using a Blackberry simulator. It's very good but we MUST test the software on a proper device before our clients get hold of it.

Now - I don't want or need a Blackberry for "push" email and it's whizzy features. I just need it's browser to work - via WiFi AND GPRS/EDGE.

Does anyone know if you can stuff an PAYG SIM into one (I happen to have a suitable Orange SIM about my person that is MMS/GPRS enabled) and have the browser work?

If so I can buy a cheapie off eBay and avoid having to give Orange hundreds of squid in contract phone charges - which I will never use.

Anyone done it? I see no reason why it shouldn't work...
