It's essentially a Raceproved clutch with a diaphram spring made to Powers' own spec. They use their own uprated slave cylinder though.

I've got one. Picked it up on Friday and am still trying to get used to the different travel distance but it seems very good. It has made life much smoother at low speed/in traffic

I haven't had a chance to see whether it has changed the feel at high speed yet but things are loooking good (and they're only £390 + £275 labour iirc).

When I took the car in Dom went and got one to show me......it's massive, and it looks seriously heavy duty. I'm no expert but I can't see me breaking it !

Happy to chat if you need further info

Nothing really. It had done at least 25k and was feeling it bit funny and was potentially the source of all sorts of little niggles, juddering at very low speeds, long travel distance of the pedal, perceved slipping at about 90mph, difficulty getting it into gear when it was cold etc.

All things that might have been something else but that might have been related. It was due for an MOT so I thought "get the 6k service done at the same time" all ready for the summer and Le Mans, and the more I thought about it the more I thought I might as well get the clutch sorted before catastrophic failure outside Arnarge or some such convenient place. Anyway it is one less thing for me to worry about for the tiem that I own the car (at least another 2 years)

Hello Guys

I have had the SP6 complete engine rebuild. As the car had the engine out I had the clutch done at the same time. Dom and the lads at TVR Power are all friendly and they don't bullst.

The only thing I can say I should have had done is the new lighter flywheel at the same time. The clutch is fab and I'm glad I had it done.

Tony

Good clutch, lots of driving in London etc and its doing OK so far. Smooth and feels a lot lighter than my previous clutch (but no idea what was in it before like anything with Candy).

Done about 2K miles so far and just starting to get used to it. But then again I am a slow learner biggrin

Just had a look on there website and can only find the AP racing clutch. How much did you say the clutch was?

My Tuscans clutch has gone tit's up so would be nice if there was an alternative if it was a decent product.

Im in the same boat, and would like some feed back ok flywheels. Had one in my 200sx and went from 12kg std to 8 kg lightweight, big difference, but that is helping a turbo engine rev up, these aint exactly sluggish at reving! And the std on is 8kg the light weight RG one 6kg and eeeek the super light one 4kg!!
