Hey,

So I need to replace all the brakes on the clio... needs to be done anyways but I have a trackday at donnington coming up so I need to make sure everythings sorted before then!

A friend of mine recommended ferodo ds2500 at the front and the slightly less grippy ds4003 at the rear and this seems to be the way to go, albeit veryvery expensive!

He used brembo part carbon discs?? in his at the front, but I can't even find anywhere that sells them! Any ideas? And what would be good to use at the rear?

Another option I've seen is the EBC discs, but given the write up for their pads I'm not yet convinced that they are the way to go... might go see what renault suggest, or use as standard...

Anyone got any ideas?!

Standard pads and discs are fine for the rear as it only does about 10% of the cars braking.

For the front on my 172 Cup I used to run Pagid Blues, a very aggressive track orientated pad, brembo disks, braided lines and RBF fluid.

Best combo you can get, the full front setup costs about 250....obviously if your not a hard driver or dont want to track your car the DS2500's are a lot cheaper and will stand up well.

Steer clear of EBC stuff......I had a set of the Red Stuff pads fade on me on the road and smoking...that was only on a country lane blat, nothing like the abuse they'd be given out on a track.

I have Pagid Blues, braided hoses, 4.0 280'C bleed and Ktec fast road disks on the front of mine. Works a treat. Again, standard pads are on the rear.
