TVR stuff on Ebay
Discussion
I've been 'ebaying' for about a year now and never had a problem
I purchase stuff from the US, Australia as well as UK.
ebay has a feedback system by which you can tell how reputable the sellers/buyers are by way of a number by the login name - simply the higher the number the more positive feedback that person has, and checking out the comments gives an idea about how efficient the person is.
also if you are going to bid on items abroad look at the payment options available - most sellers now use the PayPal system which in my opinion is the easiest, but some sellers still only take personal cheques which can be a pain.
ebay is also very addictive especially when you glance away from the TVR bits and start remembering the stuff you had when you were a kid.....!!!!

I have bought numerous items on eBay and sold a few on eBay as well with no problems. If you submit the winning bid, all you have to do is follow the instructions which will be sent to you via e-mail and you'll be fine. This is not to say there are not a few unscrupulous individuals selling things on eBay but so far, my experience has all been positive.
[quote=UpTheIron]....I've had no problems buying or selling, but remember if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
Never had a problem buying on e-bay & the feedback system seems a good way of discouraging 'mal practice' !!! I agree though, some stuff looks too good to be true and probably is!!!
If you're bidding for less-expensive goods, then go for it!!! Just be wary...any internet sale has the potential to go wrong.... have just been sent the wrong caliper carriers for my new brakes..... Live and learn eh??

I got my Chimaera on there - and just sold a 20 grand voyager on it too - I also use it for my business & often complete the sales offline... check the feedback, if it's not up to scratch try to check them out - ie, outside websites etc...
good luck
ps. if anyone wants any cheap cinema seats for home cinema - I'm your man!!!

Started off by mainly buying - got a lot of things and they all arrived - only once was the item "questionable" in its' description - as it was not exactly mint as the word would suggest - in these instances you do have comeback via Ebay intermediate. Now selling all the bits I have acrued over the years - and they go all over the world - recently sold a car on there and got very acceptable money - use paypal for paying and receiving money for greater peace of mind and you won't go far wrong - having said all that a lot of ebaying is down to trust - thankfully most seem to be good sorts.

Well if the purchase of a Tiv doesn't go through then the use for the garage reverts to Plan B which is as a home theatre for me - no children allowed (well ... only children over 18 anyway).
Wifey seems to object to having my 130lb video projector hanging from the lounge ceiling ... no idea why!!!
Even been wondering if the two garage uses could be merged and have a personal "drive-in".
