Got up this morning, got into the noble, started the car. Swept the wipers to clear the water off the windscreen then crash. Both the wipers got stuck against each other. The I noticed the drivers side one has been bent all the way round as far as it could go. Great, so now I have no wipers, its raining and I cant drive the Noble, all down to some bloody idiot that decided to mess with my car last night. Another annoying thing is that I live in a nice area with off street parking and this sort of thing still happens.

Anyway rant over, I need to get the car fixed, I take it the shaft that holds the wipers on must be splined so i'm guessing both the wiper arm and shft will be knackered. My next question is where can I buy the bits from? Help!

censoredkers! Haven't heard of Noble's being vandalised before. Fit the good arm onto the drivers side so you can use the car.

Welcome to Aberdeen mad. Not one of my cars has survived without being the subject of some form of vandalism. Seriously thought in my new flat that the car would be safe from idiots.

My mate also suggested that. i'll do it as a temporary measure when I get home.

Should be fine with a single wiper. I only ever have one on.
Sorry to hear about that. I just don't get the point.......

Sorry to hear this, I couldnt imagine leaving my P&J outside. Anyway get some Rain-X ASAP for your screen for the time being. If its applied correctly you will never want to use your wipers again honest!! After every second or third wash just apply it again, its incredible.

Cheers guys. Well I've managed to fix it by doing the nut up on the spindle. It seems to be holding for the time being.

Has anyone fitted a single wiper conversion?

Kylie's experience with Rain-X is exactly what I've found. Works great to coalesce the rain into tight little droplets which roll up the windshield and away. I tend to use the wipers at a slower speed than most anyway, as I'd rather have less swipes across my vision. May want to use dedicated towel to apply as it stinks a bit. Can't be beat if you live in a rainy area.
