Its an S1 on a 88 plate, its in good nick, but its white in colour (not very sporting!!), does anyone know where I can get it re sprayed in the Watford (hertfordshire) area? :-) Also does anyone know if there are local companys in the area that sell TVR spairs?

Hi,

I looked at the white S1 in MK. Put deposit on it etc. Then had RAC check........hence I did'nt buy it! Check the steering and chassis. I have the RAC report if you want a copy email me with your address to paul@ejwatts.co.uk. So that you know I'm not making it up, the guy you brought it from is a driving instructor, lives in Oldbrook, and the tunnel vinyl interior has rip too!, blue interior.

Mines got red interior, its in A1 con. no rips or tears anywhere, Had it checked by RAC before i bought it, no previous , but thanks for the offer anyway, the guy I bought it from didnt use it! he used to drive to his moms if it was sunny (2 streets down!), he dearnt take it over 3000 revs (bit of a woose I think!)....I think it got a good blow out on the M! when the throtal stuck at full!! I found out why the throtal got stuck! a bit of the inside of the air intake got pulled into the throtal & jammed it full open! Running like a dream now (fingers crossed!)

Covered in the bible and in the Unleaded FAQ on my website. You need to check the heads for hardened valve seats.

I can just picture him in the pub, gingerly sipping his pint because "it's nice to have a beer, but I'm a bit worried what might happen if I take a big gulp"!

No need to adjust the timing - just use Shell Optimax and some of that nice Castrol Valvemaster. My 1986 S1 runs like a dream on the stuff.

Try Leven for those as well (roof latches).
They are stainless and about £40 p/pair.
