Excellent.

He should make a complaint of extortion and fraud against Lambeth and its employees.

What odds the council or those in authority spin the usual ' we must learn from this' line, as they continue to send out the same pictures and fines?

No, repeat after me:

"We have learned from this".

Everything is glorious in the new tractor factory, comrade smile . Sorry, forgive my cynicism, I've been in local government too long and just been TUPEd to an ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation, ie. the 'not for profit' company that has taken over the local authority's housing function, as befits New Labours 'privatise council housing' agenda wink ).

This ALMO's 'planned scheme' contractors forced one particular OAP tenant to live in just one unheated room (with a kettle on the mantlepiece and wearing several coats - it was the middle of winter!) while they carried out a heating scheme and also a bathroom and kitchen refurb. Said OAP quickly got pneumonia and died in hospital a few days later. The contractor then called on the day of the funeral to continue the work to the property - with the hearse and limousines parked outside, causing more upset to the whole family. All as per the local rag. We, the employees searching for lifeboats, are unsurprised...

We, in the meantime, have had a 'communication' from senior management (monthly meetings leading to reduced productivity is the 'third way' now...) that the local rag was factually incorrect and the contractors had nothing to do with this gentleman's passing. But they have learned from this.

All remains glorious in the tractor factory, comrade wink . After all, they have learned from this... rolleyes

And it will happen again.

And again.

The same with Lambeth. What's the saying? "The world moveth on - but damned slowly if I have anything to do with it!". More drivers will get 'caught' rolleyes on this piece of road, no doubt.
