Thought I would offer up the "other side of the pond" an example of my new look backwards, new CF mirrors. Not for everyone, but I like them alot, compared to the stock mirrors, and better than most aftermarket ones I have seen over the years on the Noble. To each their own I guess.

Not sure about the mirrors, they look a little delicate to me.
Love the look of the Tie wing spoiler though lick
Has anyone done any tunnel work to see if it works?

Like 'em - I presume that are NOT adjustable from inside the motor.

Are they glass or plastic mirrors?

They arent actually delicate, and was the focus when mounting to make sure they were solid, which they are.

As regards tunnel work, no, but I do have CFD analysis that was done which I can post, but cant link it to a URL. If someone has somewhere to post the file, then I can link to it. I can supply either in .XL format or HTML format.

They are not adjustable from the inside, but that doesnt bother me as I am the only one who drives the car, and once adjusted, they stay put !

As for the mirror itself, they are glass, and actually have a nice light blue tint to them which seems to work quite well for me.

Wes, look very nice IMO. Body shop did a very good job.
Was it a big job to remove the old mounting, fix the new ones?

Thanks, I think they look nice IMO as well. Much better than the jiggly bits that were there before !

It was some work, but not huge. Once the stock aluminum mounts were off by their mounting bolts, then the triangle pieces were ground slightly to accept the new stalks for proper angle, and were strengthened with a flat CF piece we added to make sure they were solid as a backup, then matched for semi flat black paint. The result, very solid, and not delicate at all.

We left them cleared CF for now, to see what I thought, and if later I change my mind, we can paint them body color, or could even remount the stock mirrors, but I dont think that day will ever come !

The rear spoiler / wing is made by APR, and is a model GTC500, one of their highest performing for it's size and chord shape. It is used on many different kinds of cars that track, such as Vettes, and so on. VERY light. The pedestals purchased were 10" universal mounts, that were modified to fit the Nobles rear clam by me, not them. It is very solid on the back of the car, and is mounted about 2 inches higher than a stock Noble wing for better flow off the top of the roof.

see here : http://www.aprperformance.com

And here is the CFD wing analysis info. Look at it carefully, as below it shows drag vrs speed, at varying angles of attack ( AOA ). There also downforce comparisons for varying AOA, and speeds.

This info can be found here : http://www.aprperformance.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=182

With the down force, the ( N ) refers to NEWTONS for pressure.

AND, because I am a nice guy, here are the UK dealers referenced off the US web site, for anybody curious. Cost in the US is about GBP 750, so curious what they say there ........

I love the look of them. Much more aggressive looking, IMHO

I haven't changed mine, but I always get a kick out of them, even if they are of the stock variety.biggrin

Good work Wes, i really like those, much nicer than the stock item imo. they look similar to the ones used on the Fezza 360 CS, is that where the inspiration came from?

Loving the whole look of your car to be honest, looks stunning!! i might have to make a replica biggrin

Well, the inspiration came from trying to find some mirrors that looked better on the car, so I looked around ALOT trying to find something that looked like it would a) fit, and b) look correct and not a hack job in the end.

I am liking the "look" now as well, more of a lean look to it, and I like this wing better than the stock unit. The stock wing to me looks like it was just stuck there, as did the mirrors. This one does not so much IMHO, and is very affective as well. If I didnt do track days, I would consider removing the wing, as the car now looks pretty good on it's own without the wing, but that is a whole other discussion that has been run over and over the years by many posts !

I tell ya, the car is so quick now, that running through the gears happens much quicker than before. After I did all the performance work, I had to get used to it again, as I used to listen to the engine and not watch the tach so much, and now I HAVE to watch the tach as if I dont I keep bumping off the rev limiter it happens so quick ! Still VERY tactile on the street, thanks to the long pedal travel, and is very sedate when desired to be. The best of both worlds !

Replicate at will, it is worth it !
