Did the Monaro only ever come with a black interior or were there options available. I've never seen one in anything other than black...

Thanks Caspy, I was thinking of having it fully re-upholstered including the dash, to a beige colour in a good quality leather. Would cost a bomb I guess....

I think it'd look pretty dapper with a nice warm natural leather interior.

If you ordered the car new for delivery in OZ there were a choice of options - none of these were made available in the UK because of the distances involved in shipping to the UK and extended delivery times? All UK cars were pre-specified with only the black interior and a choice of silver, black, blue or yellow exterior paint.

There were different colour exterior paint and leather interiors available down under. I would have ordered Purple Haze There were other options such as a sunroof and even HID lamps - not allowed in the UK because in the UK if you have HIDs you must also have auto self levelling lamps. A tow bar was available too, but that's not allowed in the UK too, because of the lack of self levelling lamps, and Vauxhall went and stuck the daft looking single rear fog lamp where the tow bar would go rolleyes

That was the intention...but if I keep hold of it, there's a lot of things I want to do. I can't see me selling it and not losing a fair bit of money to be honest, and personally, I love the car. If I got rid, I'd get a 7 series beemer, which would cost a fair bit of money. So I reckon keeping hold of the ro and spending the cash doing the her up into a more luxurious place to be, is probably the way to go......

You may well be right. They have lost a lot of cash and would be a shame to let it go if you still like it. I may well keep mine yet too but still have some time to consider the options before D day!
