Hi All,

I've been reading too many of the 'upgrade' posts on here and so think I should get a healthcheck on my car before starting to spend my hard (cough) earned cash. Apart from my local dealer (Newtown Motors) does anyone know anywhere within say 50-75 miles of Cardiff where I could go pay for someone to tell me exactly what state everything is in before the warranty I have on the car runs out next month?

Cheers,

Leon

I'm having mine done tomrrow at JNM - I'm expecting that a/the turbo(s) require work, the manifolds and/or O2 sensor(s) needs replacing as the car definitely smells like it's running rich, hesitates very slightly at low revs and idles a little erratically. I swear my fuel consumption has gone up madly recently as well.

Also get a gradual drop in boost on the dial when at half-chat, but when the revs rise and/or I use full throttle it all seems to come back together and holds 0.7 bar consistently. It's like something needs a bit more pressure to hold itself together....

I'm hoping the rattle at the top is tappets (sounds like it to me) but you just never know what they'll find. And as for the bhp - just don't know what to expect.

God I worry too much. headache
