Looking through the auotrader site today what a suprise when I came across my 1998 Alfa GTV V6...There she was in lovely matallic green with stunning tan leather and still looking lovely...the memories of a two week trip to Italy and the Italian Grand prix came flooding back.
What a suprise then to see the advert saying the car had one previous owner...strange that seeing as I purchased it from an Alfa dealer who got it from the 1st owner in Ireland. Then I sold it to a Lotus dealer who sold it on...so if my Maths is correct it's had at least 3 owners. Which isn't a problem so why not put it in the advert......??

Bet you'll find that the number of registered keepers (as recorded by the DVLA) started from zero at the point it was imported from Ireland. Subsequent "ownership" by dealers won't up the count, so it may be that you are the only former keeper to show up on the V5C, hence the ad stating "1 previous owner". The current seller may actually be acting in good faith even though they're technically incorrect.
