I have a strange problem with the radio signal. All works well when the ignition is off, but when I turn the ignition on the radio signal drops by about 90%. There are no power problems, I have tested for power on both the amps in the rear all all is ok. Has anyone got any idea what could be causing this?

RF interference from spinning components such as the alternator?

The signal drops on the ignition being turned on, the engine is not running, so I guess it must be some electrical component causing RF interference, any ideas??

Where is the antenna on the vehicle?
built into the glass?
I would suggest pulling the radio out, unplugging the antenna connection, plugging in some form of test antenna (a cheap £5 pull up job will do it) and see what happens then.
If the antenna is built into the glass on yours then i would suggest you have a radio amplifier problem.
let me know how you get on

Thanks for that, yes it is built into the glass on both sides. I will try using a seperate antenna and let you know.
