My X business partner is looking for a mortgage on a property.

The only problem is he has a CCJ, what is the best rate he can expect to get on the market today.

The property is valued at £150k and he needs a mortgage of £112500.

Ideally over 30 years.

Thx

I doubt he would even get one in this climate, but its going to be very high.

Any fee or long tie in?

I haven't checked recently but my mortgage rate is 6.09% with much less risk. Sounds pretty good considering.

I assume he earns a decent wage to be borrowing that much?

im not sure what his finances are now but I believe he is getting a self cert... 6.95% is what my broker pal has just come back to him with..

That seems ok in his situation...

Maybe he should have used some of this spare money to pay off his debts and not get a CCJ in the first place?

Just because someone has a CCJ doesn't mean they are presently in debt Mr Judgmental.

Dont you just love how people have to come into a thread for purely the reason to have a go, His CCJ was actually from a dispute with a tennant in property of his (gas) and also something else commercial.

But that wasn't the question he asked.

Well off topic, I know but, I'd be interested to hear how a dispute with a tennant over a gas bill could result in a CCJ against your business partner. Sounds bizarre (if I may be so bold!)
