Hi,

I have an Audi A3 2.0 Tdi (140bhp) 05 reg DSG. Recently its been running really badly, not starting very easily, not changing down to an appropriate gear when needed - i.e. when approaching a roundabout and i put my foot down and pull away it stays in 4th or 5th. It is also running very loudly and i have noticed a distint lack of power.

Can anyone think whats wrong or where i could take it to have it looked at - i'm in Milton Keynes.

Thanks...

Ben

Your gear problem is obviously a gearbox problem, but lack of power could be fuel filters, injectors, etc. But this is not very likely on a newish car.

Not necessarily. Seeing as the gearbox is controlled by an ecu, it could be an electrical problem, sensor problem, or the ecu itself. With modern cars, problems are rarely that obvious.

That could also explain a lack of power
