Afternoon all - any chance you can help a very non-tech chap?

On the home PC I want my kid to be able to view websites I set up as his 'favorites' - but anything outside of these is password protected.

All I know is that the home PC is running windows and connects to the internet by clicking the 'blue E' icon.

Any help, most welcome.

Thanks,
Matt

First set your nipper up his own account on Windows, so that he has to click his name as opposed to your name to get onto the PC.

Then whilst logged on as junior, go into internet explorer and click on 'Tools' then 'Internet Options'. If you cant see 'Tools', press the Alt key to reveal the toolbar it's on.

In 'Internet Options' select the 'Content' tab.

Enable the 'Content Advisor' then on the 'Approved Sites' tab, enter the sites he is allowed to visit.

When finished, click ok and you will be prompted to enter a password that only you know so that junior cant turn Content Advisor off. OK your way out and give it a test.

Your account will be unaffected by these restrictions.
