Any tips? Brightness turned up to the max, screen facing away from the sun and it's just about ok but are there any magic tricks to making this more usable?

Worst, i'm sat in the garden pretending i'm working thread ever!

Short of cocooning yourself in a shed or tent, i'm not sure there is anything.

Arse.

Was hoping somebody had come up with solution frown I'm sure this was posted last summer and nobody had the ultimate answer. I've experimented Blue Peter style with black cardboard, with limited success. How about a pair of VR goggles?

cheers,
Zax - on the sun terrace, because I didn't plant the lawn yet beer

Sorry,;)
Have you googles screan shades? I know there was a company making funny looking shades that fitted around the screen. I'm sure they did laptops as well.
( It looked like an old camera )

There are plenty of hoods/shades advertised, which should improve visibility (just Google "laptop hood" or laptop shade"). Alternatively, if you're not too bothered about appearances, you could just rig up a DIY hood from cardboard.
