Even with a 2" lift 235/85s won't fit a RR. They will foul the arches & chew the bodywork front & rear on full articulation, jam in the rear arches, same, and foul radius arms on full lock. Also wont fit in spare wheel well. 235/75 is as big as you can go without above problems, although even then very knobbly MTs like Grizzly Claws or Insa Turbos may catch the body in extremis. Sure you'll have an inch less ground clearance than a Defender, but with good MTs and the V8s power you will usually do just as well. I've had 2, both autos, and now I've got used to it prefer my 200Tdi (manual) Disco for the extra control on difficult descents. However you'll have lots of fun with the RR. Enjoy it.
I've just bought a Rangie 3.9 for a bit of off road abuse and I was about to swap my wheels from the 110 this weekend. My 110 set are 265/75x16 Insa Turbos on 8" Mods. The wheels are 4" back and 4" front offset.

Q. Will these foul the body on the RRC? I have a 1" lift (soon to be 2")

I'm happy to give it a go in the name of research, but if anyone can stop me making a horrible blunder now, please stand up.

I learnt that the Disco wheels I had on my 110 fouled the front arms on full lock with the 265 tyres, but the Mod wheels sorted this and now they don't touch at all. In any event, I assume that the articulation has to be very extreme for the tyres to foul the arches.

If I fit a flared arch kit like the Discos does this enlarge the wheel arches or just widen them to cover the tyres?

Cheers fesuvious,

I'm not going to rush to get the tyres dirty and want to do all the necessary mods to keep everything in peak condition.
