We very sadly lost a young kitten to an RTA last Christmas. It hit us all quite hard and my wife was dead set against having another.

We have finally decided to cave in and home another cat - her half-brother. The owner (a family friend) of the mother cat was very insistent that we should have one from the next litter. she picked out her favorite for us.

This one is pure Ragdoll (the last one was fathered by a rather opportunistic moggy).

Name undecided as yet but the working title is "Sherlock", or "Purrlock Holmes". Or "Waffles Frou-Frou Fluffington III" (if my eldest daughter has her way)

Just have to share this story. Our cat (4) Spud went out on Saturday morning about 11:00. As the day and night went on there was no sign of him. We weren't too bothered as he has gone out for hours before especially in hot weather. But when it came to Sunday morning and we hadn't seen him for 24 hours we got panicky. We went out and searched in all his haunts. No luck. So the whole Sunday came and went too with no sign. Then this morning about 8:30 he comes flying through the cat flap. Checked him over and he seemed fine. He was ravenous though and one packet of cat food wasn't enough. So later on I ventured to the shops across the street only to be met by the woman who owns the launderette opposite us. She informed us that when she opened up this morning Spud came flying out the door. He had been locked in there all weekend. He goes in to see her now and again, had gone in on Saturday morning. She had closed early totally unaware he was there and he had been in there for almost 48 hours! He made a bed out of some blankets, drunk her cold tea from her mug and shredded her kitchen roll to pieces. I dread to think what would have happened had she gone on holiday for a week as she runs the place herself!! Don't you just love happy endings!

For some strange reason one of Mrs Saleen's two has decided that a plant pot makes a very good bed!

He can be found most afternoons sleeping for a couple of hours in it.

Absolutely. One of ours managed to get himself lost for 3 weeks - we were besides ourselves - posters, roaming the streets calling him (remember to choose non-embarrassing names for your cat just in case)...

Ah, yes! A friend of mine called her two (sibling) cats 'Muffin and Goblin'...

He was a rescue cat. I went to the local centre to adopt a cat and he was the one nobody wanted. His left ear top was cut off, (so i was told), when the chopped his balls off, so they know which cats have been 'done'. I think they were a bit scissor happy. His right ear has a chunk missisg due to a fight he had a couple of years ago whilst defending his 'patch'. He is incredibly territorial.

We have had him for 4.5 years and he is very content indeed. he has a selection of adjoining gardens which he has taken as his territory. he pops up to the other garden to check out the chickens almost every day. he frequently brings mice in for us. A big tough guy when out and about, but a huge softie when in the house.

Surely a quick look at the rear end will tell them what cats have been done? confused

I agree, but the deed had been done when we got him, so his chiseled good looks are ruined forever. My missus says she'll have corrective surgery done on his lugs when we win the Euro lotto. Thats assuming there is any loose change left after I have filled my warehouse with cars. smile

Here is another one of him impersonating a pig.
