Photo and text hosting

Hi
Just back from holiday and I wanna put up my photos with a LOT of text

The way I am thinking of is using my own webspace and just getting soemsort of photo gallery app to display the photos in a slideshow (i.e people can click to go to each photo)

only thing is i want to do it like this

TEXT
10 PHOTOS

TEXT
20 PHOTOS

and so on, so i will need a lot of 'boxes' to put my photos in - i'd also like to be able to add descriptions to each photo so it only comes up when the photo is clicked...

i.e

'Monday I was in Sydney I went to the bridge and Opera house'

then below will be a box with 20 photos of the bridge and Opera house and each oen can have something different next to me (i.e me and john, me and simon etc)

anyoen have any ideas on a way i can do this? my html skills are basic but can follow instructions

otherwise are there any decent sitest hat will do it for me? one important thing is i want a totally clean page - so i dont want a blog site or soemthign that has loads of crap on the page.

We offer Gallery on the VDS Pro accounts, you simply upload your pix, it resizes them and places them in an albumn for you, where you can then protect them with passwords, write details about the picture, and let people download different sized images.

brother uses smugmug.com and seems to work well, $40 per year, unlimited photos and space and he loves high res shots

they back his photos and post him a disc or more yearly

fairly idiot proof as he not good with tech stuff as for hosting on a website, too difficult for him
