Those poor sods who bought new in 2008; hope they got good discounts because they seem to be hammered on resale three years later.

Just been perusing some Alpinas - does 6.5 bags represent value for a B10? Looks tidy to me - massive history file.

E350 CGI Sport, 2008, 14 bags of your finest sand...

What are these like to drive? Would it make a nice commuter for a 50 mile each way motorway jaunt? How much more will it depreciate?

MPG on the CGI engine seems pretty good at

Fuel consumption (urban) 21.6 mpg
Fuel consumption (extra urban) 43.5 mpg
Fuel consumption (combined) 31.7 mpg

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2011...

Or should I just continue looking at 2006-7 E90s?

Thoughts on a postcard please...

It's actually number 1147 of more than 1200 - 1205 (205/1) is the highest number on the register.

ALPINA boot and bonnet roundels are fake - ALPINA don't make such a thing.

It has probably had a new bootlid - no spoiler, misplaced B10 script and missing ALPINA and V8 script. This is not necessarily due to crash damage as some cars suffered corrosion at the spoiler mounting points.

Looks OK but there are several in the PH classifieds I'd rather have...

Ah, cheers. So - possibly fastidious/geeky owner replaced a rusty boot and got himself some Alpina badges instead of Beemer roundels? Looks nice to me, having lived with an auto E38 for the last couple of months I'm coming round to the idea of one of these as a future purchase.

It seems too good to be true. Here's an email I got about it earlier...(I was enquiring about HK Stereo)

" Hello,
Here are some details I think you may find useful: 2008 Mercedes-Benz E350 CGI Sport in metallic black and full black leather interior (15.000 miles). The last annual service was done at Mercedes Direct where I bought it from, at Balsall Common in May last year at 13K miles. It has harmad kardon audio system. The car is 100% working and looking AMAZING, no engine problems and it has been garaged most of the time.HPI CLEAR. The price I'm after is £14.500 sterling pounds, but I am also opened to sensible offers. "
