Some bottom-budget barge. Superb VFM I think.

If I hasn't suitably x50i'd myself in the past few weeks, I'd be on the phone!

Is there any specific Bork issues with these cls? Or is it the usual suspension, coil packs etc?

Hell of a lot of car for the money

I've heard a few stories about electrical gremlins. If I was going to buy one, I would seek out one privately with an Tier One warranty that I could continue, or go Approved Used and haggle hard.

This looks great value, its one of those cars you know will be ok - my only concern is the cheap plate may have meant a cheap 2nd or 3rd owner but its a lovely thing for £15k

My CLS has been rock solid in general running and reliability. The only bug I had in ownership was needing to get the front drivers side window mechanism looked at. Other than that is has been wonderful. I'll be selling mine later on for a ballpark of £8k-ish. So much build quality, waft and looks for the coin. What would that amount get you new these days? A deposit on a ford Ka or something hehe

The CLS is certainly a car capable of making the average person think that you've spent a lot more money than it actually cost. yes

CLS does look good but next to the CL v12 BiTurbo - considering both are 2007 - I would find it very difficult not choosing the 100k motor.

You make a good PH worthy point. To be fair I bottled it and went for a very safe 500 CLS. The V12 models are more expensive, under more stress from the higher power, plus are more complex overall. All in all I was scared of bills.
