I wonder if it looks as "heavy" in the flesh…

Front end looks heavy & reckon it needs larger wheels, especially the red one. Like the rear treatment though. Look forward to seeing it at Excel.

That looks nasty. I was so hoping the MiTo would be a sassy alternative to a Mini but its got the front overhang from hell!

Hmmm.... let's hope it's another 3D car which looks a lot better in real life than in the pics!

Not if the Brera is anything to go by. A shame they couldn't have shrunk that nose a bit.

The white car looks absoloutely awful at the front imhho, there are other pics on autocar website today and it looks equally shi*

Just hopes its an illusion as the red car looks good but as someone has pointed out those pics were taken from low down.

So many new cars have such high bulbous snouts with huge overhangs, new pedestrian regs i assume

Agree, it looks awkward. A bit like those weird retro cars the japs keep churning out. I don't know much about this, is it aimed at the Polo/ Corsa market?

The front end, especially the headlights looks messy. Disappointing especially from alfa.

MY EYES, lokk what that abortion is replacing, the 147, which IMHO could be brought bang up to date(styling wise) with a sharp facelift.

Not really. This is a smaller car than the 147 and is 3 door only.
The 149 (eventually!) will be slightly bigger than the 147.

I think it's more of a 145 replacement. Looks a similar size as well.

Oh, Rick...I'm back in the Alfa fold. biggrin

I really really want to like it, but i cant.

it just looks lumpy and out of proportion.

Although it doesn't look terrible to me, they've really managed to stuff it up compared to the promo shots.

Yep thats the word "lumpy", not the elegance you expect from an Alfa.

I think the Grande Punto (its base car) is far better proportioned - and elegant
