Web hosting providers?

Im trying to wade through all of the web hosting suppliers of which there seem to be hundreds!
I had looked at servage to host four of my sites, but some of the reviews I have read are not great.....
What web hosting companies are people on here using to host basic sites with 1-2Gb of space and around 10gb traffic per month.?
I really need something that is good value for money, reliable with plenty of user customisable function...
really stuck on this one!
