Moodle development?

Hi all,

I've got an interview for a Moodle developer job in a couple of days and just wanted to run a few questions past anyone who is currently doing similar... it'd really help me out if you could post if that's you!

Oh, I've done loads of development with scripting languages (mostly ASP and ColdFusion) - maintain a couple of things using PHP / mySQL...

I assume that the post is going to be developing as past of the moodle community with some specifics for the organisation, but I've no experience of Moodle beyond what I've read online so it'd be good to know if that makes sense as a way of working.

I've a little experience of other VLEs (Blackboard), but mainly as a user, I've done a couple of code changes in Blackboard to support customisation but the back-end seems overengineered and purposefully convoluted - I'm guessing that being open source, Moodle is more developer-friendly.

Finally, if anyone has any tips they'd like to pass on I'd appreciate that!
