Right moving on from Nitron's, is there anyone running / has run either Koni 2812's or Penske 8100 at all? If so how do you find them?

I have the 2812s, we're running soft shocks/stiff springs which appears to be the opposite of how Radical ships them. I'm several entire valve ranges lower than Radical had installed originally on my car.

So I have yet to find them satisfactory but, hopefully, this new valving will actually give me adjustment (previously, they've been on full soft and still not doing anything useful).

NASA thats interesting. Radical don't supply Koni's now, so if I went down that route I would send my Avo's to the Koni race guys over here & get them to put on their dyno & work from there, thus hopefully avoiding anything too drastic going wrong!

Any of you guys over there with a PR06, running the Koni's you are aware of? If so what sort of spring rates do you use?

Cheers

I heard that the PR6s had to go to a resivoir shock due to the speed...now that's based on the one PR6 that I run with that has a 1600cc built Hayabusa and has been clocked at 165mph at CA Speedway so it's damping needs are kind of out there.

I run 400#F and 600#R springs right now. I have the high downforce bits on my Prosport.

A guy on my forum had his Konis revalved and I just had mine done to be like his but haven't tested them yet. There is some more info there.

Jp you may have a valid point, more practice would be good for sure. Only time you going to see my exhaust is when you come up to lap me, or just occasionally on the first lap for about 30seconds after a mint (hillclimb stylie) start!

Just don't want to waste time with a less than perfect car, as I will only get chance to do 2 or 3 races a year, so every ones got to count!

Plus after two more races I can loose the novice cross, no more excuses then!
