i have a friend that has to replace the universals in his steering collum. is it a tr7 collum??

The early columns were off a TR7 later they used Rover SD1 and I believe the last ones were Ford Granada. However, this is only the column if he is going to replace the UJ's in the engine bay they are TVR specials.

The UJs are generally TR7. TVR bought the spares when Triumph went bump. However there are different Triumph ones so check. They are not that expensive from the factory.

Richard at Wedge Automotive (RT) reconditioned mine for a very reasonable fee. At least this way you don't have to identify the parts - there are different versions.

upper steering UJ is rover probably TR7, P/N:UKC2449R, as supplied by james Paddock last time I Required one.
