Hi folks,

Currently got a 2003 5dr Fiesta Ghia and wondering if it would be possible to fit the spoiler available for other editions, zetec iirc.
Can quite figure out if its a new boot i would need to get with the spoiler fitted or if its a case of fitting it myself.

Hope this helps with what i want to do.

This is the back i've got

that will fit stright on , its either held by , very strong 3m adheasive tape or that and a couple of bolts , but it can be fitted with minimal fuss .

You could always try looking for a spoiler at a breakers yard. Should be cheap from there too. When fitting the spoiler make sure you remember to apply some silicone or anti-rust if you have to drill any holes to stop the boot from rusting.

edited to add that surely you could also just find out the part number from your local dealer and order one from Ford.

Good suggestion but im sure that would be quite costly although would be able to get a 2nd opinion if i took it to a dealership and surely they would be able to fit it ?

Any good bodyshop should be able to fit a spoiler for a few quid and will almost certainly undercut a Ford dealer's price. Getting the spoiler you want for a 5dr may be difficult unless you are prepared to wait and look around. I should think there are quite a few crashed 5dr zetecs around for you to get a spoiler from.

Alternatively try http://www.rmcarspares.co.uk/. These guys are a specialist ford spare parts place and if you get in touch they might be able to source a spoiler for you. Also try http://www.breakeryard.com/. Lastly don't discount your Ford dealer. They are usually not too bad on price and if nothing else you should ask what they charge for the part so you have a reference point.

Considering the boot on the 3 and 5 door is the same , it doesnt matter which car you get the spoiler off of . biggest cost would be getting it colour matched , i would go for gloss black , would look ok and you can paint it with rattle cans .
