cv8 for breaking
Discussion
anyone wanna buy an LS1 engine
Just done the deal to buy the engine and supercharger complete. Its a 9psi Magnacharger kit according to Mark at Rapid GB, he knows the previous owner and from what he said I dont think anyone was badly hurt which is good news. So now I have a spare engine the temptation is to build a stroker with it and do a transplant of the whole thing.

I now also have a spare stainless exhaust for an 04 cv8 if anyone is interested. Slightly marked but nothing major. Been suggested its a Wortec but no makers mark anywhere on it and its not got removable boxes so it may be quite an early one. I'll try get some pics up and hopefully someone will be able to identify it.
Apart from the engine block I've got a chunk of the loom, ecu, clutch and flywheel, airbox, supercharger, intake pipe, intercooler, 2 bar map sensor and assorted bits of pipework. Oh and a spare bootlid in need of a touch up - going to trial fit my spoiler on it and if I don't like it then at least I've still got my original lid without the drill holes :-) Theres not an awful lot left of the car - seats etc are intact but going to need serious cleaning and treatment before anyone's going to touch them. Rest of the car is pretty much destroyed - original photos I got really don't tell the full story of how bad it was, lucky these are tough cars or the occupants would have been in serious trouble.

no idea where its normally located on the car - engine has clutch and flywheel still attached, gearbox was being sold separately for 850+vat complete. not a great deal left in the engine bay of the car apart from brake servo and abs unit. they do have odd bits and pieces for the car in their stores area so if its not attached to the engine they may still have it available.
