Have been lookin at the 5.7L VXR on page 3 of this website - www.whitegatemotors.co.uk/16445/stock.htm

Does anyone know if the black thing on the tailgate is some sort of moulding that has been stuck on, or has it been painted.

Looks a bit cack IMHO, I'm wondering if it's easily changed...

Cant open the website for some reason but if its the one im think of which is the silver one?

Its definately a plastic moulding of some sort which much clip on and is not painted, never seen one on another car though.

That bit on the boot is plastic on my 05 VXR. Mine's body colour and I think that's normal.

It appears to be the standard plastic numberplate/boot lid filler plate, but painted satin black. The bumper cutouts are also in satin black. The badges have migrated around the boot as well...

Got the website working now, yeah it looks painted, not sure why someone would do that as its a nice looking car otherwise.

would be nice if a dealer selling a car and using photos to do it would at least clean up the interior.

That bit? I don't think it looks too bad paperbag The badges would have to go though

Have to say I don't mind that, wouldn't do it to a 'ro myself, but it's not offensive. If you squint at the monitor from 30 yards away it almost looks noble M12-esque

Yeah, looks like he's painted in the 'dents' either side of the fog light too. He's moved the VXR badge to the opposite side and looks like he's stuck the Vauxhall nose badge in it's place (or is it a Holden badge, can't quite see). Very odd.

I would imagine its vinyl, seems expensive and pointless to paint.

you're all wrong - its actually a black car that hasnt been finished yet, most of the car is still in primer

Thanks for putting the link up. Yeah I agree about the badges, far too much going on there.

Not keen on the black rear end though, might give the dealer a ring and see what the story is. Apart from that, the exterior appears to be in decent order, as far as you can tell from photos anyway.

Holden badges on a HSV redface, that rear panel looks a bit like some of the older sedans. I'm not sold on it.

Lost me there, what do you mean? An HSV is a Holden as an AMG is a Mercedes etc.
