E60 Delivery Time

Hi guys

A friend of mine recently ordered a 520d and was quoted a 16 week delivery time.

Does this sound right?

He has ordered up a 520d SE in Deep Sea Blue and Anthracite cloth trim, with the following options:

- Visibility Pack (5 series)

- Heated Front Seats;

- Driver and front passenger electric lumbar support;

- DAB digital radio;

- USB audio interface; and

- Navigation system Business.

He is leasing the car so is not too worried about RVs.

I ordered my 520d M Sport Touring in early May and was told 8-10 weeks

Currently being told early July which is actually nearer to 8

(mine's a lease car if that makes any difference - coming from BMW Park Lane)

As I understand it, the 520d's selling hugely well (to lease co's), so it doesn't surprise me at all. They'll probably improve on the quoted date by a little - managing expectations and all.

I've currently got an Audi order quoted at a similar lead-time for a fairly bog stock car.

just heard that mine's been put back a couple of weeks

I always thought 8 weeks was a bit ambitious

still, not the news I wanted to hear.....A4 1.9 TDi pool cars are not much fun
