Tyres for S-Max

Our 2.5T S-max needs a new set of tyres of 20k miles.
It came with Conti SportContact2s - (235 45 zr 18s) has anyone tried anything else or would recommend anything else?

I'm surprised these didn't last a bit longer - most of the time my wife drives the car so it doesn't get hooned everywhere (as far as I know...).

I'm no expert, but I would say that managing 20,000 miles from a set of tyres on a 2.5 litre turbo-charged people carrier isn't bad at all! Might be worth asking Focus ST owners what they use? Don't you believe it about women drivers. They may not hoon it around as such, but in my experience the female of the species has naff all mechanical sympathy.
