What car is it on, how old is the car and was it OEM or aftermarket? Could be wiring, could be cables to throttle, could be electronic or could be switch / sensor related. More info from you may well help us help you!!

sorry about thee long post don't know what happened there doh,

yeah how stupid soz, e46 M3 2003 facelift, oem everything totaly standard car so no mods,

I would look at the CC ECU initially, make sure all of the terminals are clean and working.

Then work your way back across the engine into the car.
