Hubby on road to Le Man in XKR. Warning light has come up check engine. Can he continue and deal with problem when he gets home? What does this light mean?

management light comes on when one of many sensors gives ecu a reading which is outside its parameters. if you look it,s coloured orange not red it,s just a warning that you need to get the car looked at soon. red light meens stop the car now.car will more than likely be fine to drive for duration of journey and back to uk.
