There's an article on the BBC website today about a chap who died after an altercation in a supermarket:

What the article doesn't mention (and of course assuming the Newspaper is correct) is that apparently the chap who threw the punch wasn't even at the Supermarket, his girlfriend was, believed the chap had queue jumped her, and called her boyfriend who came down and.. well just read the articles I guess:

Queue Jumping Attack

I guess it's rhetorical in that they're simply scum, but WTF is wrong with these people?!

I guess because I'm civilised I can't get my head around

a) getting so wound up about someone queue jumping
b) being so wound up as to call thuggish boyfriend
c) thuggish boyfriend feeling the need to come down to sort things out

I could carry on to z.. it's just so fking bizarre how these peoples minds work.

Agreed. Seems a very high price to pay for putting an amoeba out of circulation for a few years.

Original link doesn't work: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/majornews/2117354/...

It's pretty frightening. How the fk did the thug confuse a 57 year old with an 18 year old and more to the point, why did the silly bint not stop him?

Its a shame they can't lock the little twunt that caused the problem in the first place too. I would defend my OH against any scrote (regardless of my job), though she would never call me as she hates the thought of anyone stepping into an argument.

Poor guy left a 5 year old child too, how can you exxplain to her that daddy isn't coming home because of some thug. Prison is too good for these people, I consider myself to be a reasonably liberal person and TBH anyone that can kill an innocent man in that manner does not deserve to have tax payers money spent feeding him and giving him a safe bed for the night.

Of course shock horror the boyfriend was out on bail, with a tag, at the time of the attack.

Sorry but I don't quite buy into the whole mistaken identity, protecting your girlfriends honour thing.

Tragic case, although I get the impression that scrote and boyfriend are of the same ilk.

Around 95 people an hour die in the UK, so possibly hard to find a slot when someone hasn't.....

I find this a bit much!! I am sure she didn't call her partner and say 'come to the supermarket and punch someone so hard they die' she probably was scared of the yoof and did what came naturally. I think this is just making it worse.

She's being charged. She may be prosecuted. She may not.

Either way, the boyfriend should serve as a lesson to the kind of idiot who thinks it is acceptable to lash out at strangers. He has killed a man and left a child without a father just to feed his ego.

yes Aggression is the only way these people know how to argue or defend themselves, they don't have the intellect to deal with situations any other way.

I'm glad they're charging the woman as well, shame they can't do anything about the mouthy little st that started it off.
