bought some of the special plastic window polish that Renovo sell - worked well BUT whilst applying, the bloody stitching through the canvas to the plastic tore away leaving an opening about a foot long - stitching seems to have rotted?

Anyway, called in to 'hoods galore' in Southend - quoted £125 to re-stitch or £175 with a new rear plastic window included. I booked it in for the latter.

Does this sound reasonable? and does anybody want to buy half a bottle of Renovo plastic polish - lol - (oh & Jools - it's not a Placebo! )

Thursday, Peninsula quoted me £250 PLUS VAT. Thankfully it was just that, "a quote".

I suppose someone is happy to pay that amount, but when "others" quote £150/175 complete.....!!!

Peninsula quoted me a lot less than that around May/June time, think I paid £165 in the end from Webbs.

I'm sure they were a bit more than Pen. at the time, but the car was already booked into Webbs for some other stuff next day anyway and P. is another hour or so from me.

Sounds like £175 is a good quote then - I'll let you know how I get on... thanks to all for the comments!
