Hello,

I think the red Tamora you spotted on the A34 was me ; Wildfire red car with anthracite alloys? I've been lurking in the background on pistonheads for a while now quietly wondering if my machine would get spotted at some time or other (bit sad I know) and finally it has been so I'm quite chuffed.

Hope I was abiding by the highway code at the time I was sighted !

Phil, good to see you posting here.
Hows the car running now that you have got some miles on the clock. I see from your profile that you have a T350C on order, Is that right?
I am off to the factory next Monday, to see mine in build. Its being sprayed this week. Guess what colour we went for you got it, Widefire Red Pearl again.
We specced it in Rosso Red, but the factory have decided not to do any more cars in that colour, so we we went back to the Wildfire colour, with Anthracite/Nimbus full hide. Decided against the Targa in the end, and went back to the Coupe. Don't think I could live with those panels.
Are you comming along to the monthly meeting this month? Its this Thursday.

Hi Nigel, I'm not yet too proficient in posting replies on pistonheads but if this works it is intended to be a reply to your posting.
Anyway, quite a coincidence that you should happen to spot me & my machine!
It's running pretty good on the whole ; just had the usual few niggles and some trouble with the speedo (but only very minor things). The car is running great and I've already got nearly 4K on the clock ; I guess I don't need to tell you that I'm enjoying driving it as the miles speak for themselves. I'm taking it up to about 6500 rpm now with full throttle (occasionally) so I'm getting a bit more accustomed to the astonishing performance.

I've not got a T350c on order as it turns out (this is an error on my profile). I was at one point very split between the Tamora & T350 (still am) and must have filled in my profile when I was in T350 mode just before I decided to go with the Tamora. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that your T350 order is moving along and obviously approve of the colour. Will be worth the wait I'm sure.
I was actually planning to take my machine to Castle on Thursday evening after work as it is booked to have the speedo checked out on Friday. However, I've rearranged so that I drop the car off 1st thing Friday so that I can bring it along to the meet up on Thursday.

So I will look forward to seeing Thursday evening.

Cheers

Phil

Hi Johnny,

I work in Cambridge but have been on holiday the last couple of weeks spending part of the time with my family who live in the Adlerley / Wilmslow area. Loads of my mates up north have wanted to go out in my new toy and the A34 bypass has been a popular route.

Back to work now though

Sorry to hear that you do not have a tiv yet but I'm sure you will get one shortly. We do have one thing in common though ; I drive a rover as well ! Maybe we sould start a rover club and all go out in convoy ?

Hi Nigel,
Made a mistake in my previous posting to you ; I realise now that it was pwig who spotted me out and about as opposed to yourself. Sorry about that (very embarassing) but I'm a bit of a technophobe and not very up to speed with peoples nicknames yet.

No problem about the ride in my machine ; I will let you know next time I plan to go up north but it may well be several weeks - worth the wait though.
