Unsilenced exhaust

Hi guys,

I have a twisted perfomance exhaust on my Defender at the moment with a tiny silencer up by the turbo end of the pipe. Charlie at Twisted has offered me a complete straight system that will make EVEN more noise.........should I do it??? Will it cause problems with lack of backk pressure etc etc???

Let me know your thoughts.

Surely your exhaust man is the guy to challenge on that.

My understanding is that exhaust back pressure and pressure pulses etc. don't apply to turbo engines as the turbo has, in effect, chopped the pulses up with its turbine.

Will it increase performance? If it'll only increase noise what's the point? These things are noisy enough as it is!!
