Hi guys, I'm about to buy a used M3 convertible and I have worries that it could be an imported car. This would obviously effect the value.

Anyone know how to tell for definate? Other that looking at the PDI stamp on the service book?

Cheers

Give BMW customer services a ring, they might be able to help.

Thanks, but is there anyway of telling from the vehicle itself?

yes, but we'd need to know the spec of it first.

What make's you think it's been imported?

The reason I think it could be is because the hpi check didn't bring back any chassis number or colour. Someone said this could mean it's an import?

Although someone else has said it could be because it has just come off a private plate?

Rang BMW Service (after 15 mins wait!) They confirmed UK car, so thanks for all your help.

FYI - They said that a change from private plate can make this appear like an import (ie no chassis number, etc)
