Either

Diesel Injection Pump for 98 Freelander 2.0 (Part number 0460 404 973) for sensible money, I don't consider 800 pounds to be sensible thank you very much

Or

Someone in Aberdeenshire who would buy my OH's car, above, and not rip us off.

The car has been in the garage for 6 weeks, driving us crazy especially as my Camaro has been in another garage for 8 weeks and my daily is currently a 72 Dodge with a 5.4lt V8. Fun but thirsty.

Please help

Thanks

Not too keen on buying it' sorry.

You should be able able to get one from a scrappy for a proper price. If not, get a whole engine from a scrappy. It will be a lot less than 800 notes, and will have an injection pump bolted onto the back of it. You could also try e bay ( for either a pump or whole engine ). Auto trader used to have lots of scrappies advertising ( not sure whether it still does ).

Or, buy another free lander ( accident damaged / insurence write off / MOT failure / or just older and tatty ) for a lot less than 800 notes.

Is your mechanic 100% sure its the pump, its unusual for them to go.

I expect if you do a few searches you will be able to find an owners club or forum dedicated to freelanders, and they may be able to help you more.

sorry for gelling ans scrammer, had a couple of wines with mrs big dunc

Do you have a number or website for Boxer?? Cheers. I've googled it but can't seem to find it.
