Hi guys, I have an E46 M3 with the professional TV/Sat nav/CD/radio etc fitted.

The question I have is although in the boot I have a CD changer and a box which says DVD on it, am I able to play a dvd in the car, or is the DVD just for the Sat nav discs? I am willing to forego the sat nav to watch a DVD if required.

I have a AV channel on the tv, but its a blank screen.

Help.......I'm useless with technology!

The DVD drive in the boot is only for Navigation map discs.

To watch dvd (films) in the car you need the following.

An av input lead and a DVD player.

DVD player (like so)

AV lead (like so)

Sound will only be mono, but its good enough for most things.

BTW I wouldn't get rid of the nav computer is it's the main screen driver for the whole system, the TV module is the backup (but looks like an old dos type display).

The lead plugs between the tv module and the cars loom, I can't remember which one the blue of the white, but one of them, just checked, the white one.

So unplug the while lead in the boot (on the TV module) then plug the av lead into the tv module then the lead that you just took out. job done.
