Shade, shadows and silhouettes

Well, I had to pick something to give you the chance to use the month full of sunshine!

Although if sunshine's not your thing, use any other light source - bulb, flash or fire. Your shots can come from indoors, outdoors or studio. They can be arty, quirky, staged or candid. In fact, pretty much anything goes as long as it features the dark side. Let's see a bumper field for this month.

You decide whether to post straight out of camera or to process, but if you do alter your images significantly in PP please post a brief summary of the changes

If things still aren't crystal, use this thread to clarify your queries and to post your images for C&C from the PH lads and lasses.

Happy shooting, and good luck!

Straight out of the camera, I had a shopped version but looking back I prefer the original.

Good theme, should bring up some interesting images.

Not sure something as plain as this will get me very far - self portrait:

Martin.
Martin,
All three are outstanding in their own right, No 3 is a powerful and very well executed photo but the finesse of No 1 gets my vote

...but wot do I know!wink

One from the archives that I've never been sure about. Original picture just didn't work, but spot colour at about 50% opacity, and sharpen...worthy? I've revisited it so many times maybe I'm blind to any appeal it may (or may not!) have.
