I have had two BMW's that have had the passenger airbag turned off.

It's a main dealer job as the bag has to be deactivated by computer.

The seatbelt needs to be changed for a different type (hang on to the old one) and you will have to sign loads of disclaimers.

They will also put a sticker on the inside of the windscreen and one in the door opening advising that it's deactivated.

It will cost - the seatbelt for my 7 series was c.£150.00 yikes

Thanks for the feedback. Question was the airbag made switchable? Ie you could turn on/off with a key?

Thanks

You couldn't on my E46, but an 07 is an E91 so might have. My X3 certainly does, the key switch is in the glove box.
