I know there are a few of these floating around, but I had a quick play with photoshop and made these poor versions smile

Is this going to be made? I think there would be a good market for it, think of a head-to-head with an M3 touring and an RS4 estate!

That's a rather good effort for a "quick play" - well done that man!

Unfortunately there won't be an M3 Touring for the moment. Can't believe there not doing it, as I believe there's a market for it. In Germany, the majority of all S/RS Audis are estates, and the M5 Touring doesn't seem to be doing badly either.

I would have had one over my RS4 if there had been a DCT touring available at the time.

Thanks very much smile

I do think one would sell well. The M5 is just a big too big for some people, stonking car that it is, just too much for some, but an M3 Touring would be just right.

I suspect it'd be too expensive to produce.

For starters you'd need completely new rear quarter panels and develop new rear spring and damper rates.

IIRC the E46 touring doesn't have enough space for the M-diff - there's one in Total BMW a month or two ago.

It would outsell the saloon, so I don't think it would be too expensive to produce.

Brilliant effort on those pics!

Oh, and there WILL be a Touring version - although don't know when yet. Please don't ask how I know. I just do. smile

Thanks, I reckon a touring would easily outsell the saloon. besides, the bodies can't be that different between the saloon and touring can they?

This is what I am hoping to drive in 3 years or so...

Now I just need the feckers to build it.

Great photoshop efforts - looks real.
