I'm hoping some one here might be able to tell me if the paint used by TVR (e.g. Moonraker Black) is vinyl based?

Not 100% sure about this but I think nearly all automotive paint is now water based??? Or is it still acrylic? Pretty sure it's not vinyl.

Its water based, hence the bloody chips!

Hey plotloss - how's it going - i think we bought about the same time. My 500 still going great but still getting the tvr probbs - just had new starter motor fitted as last one (15k miles from new now knackered due to heat)

Know what you mean re chips - mine looks like its been shot by vinnie jones
