if anybody fancies a top day out for seeing hundreds of cars and attractions suitable for all the family next weekend, the superb, annual Kimbolton Charity Classic show is just the ticket!

held in the grounds of Kimbolton Castle (easily located along the sign posted A1 on the Cambs/Beds border) the show is jointly run by the Sporting Bears motor club who will be offering "Dream Rides" in everything from classics to supercars for a small donation to childrens charities (superb fun, and an excellent selection of interesting cars usually too) there will also be circa 700+ cars on display from various clubs too (a PHEA group will be there too!)
a craft fair, trade/independant stalls, refreshments, snacks, beer tent and live ring entertainment will be available throughout the day too so theres something for everyone
also for aviation fans there will also be a battle of britain memorial flypast from a Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane this year too
a diplay not to be missed!

please follow the link on the Bears homepage for more info,

(info on the Dream Rides can be found here as well)

I am likely to have some spare time next weekend so may pop over if the weather is good. I had dinner in Kimbolton last night and noticed 2 Elises (a red S1 and an ice blue S2) and a 996 C4 parked in front of a house on the turn towards Easton so they must be a car enthusiast!

Great for the Kimbolton do smile.

And brilliant for your Cambs 'raid'! Be great to see you all - and yes, it is this Thursday. I will be there earlier this time! tongue out. Let's hope it's the same sort of weather as yesterday evening! We must get everyone fired up to come over to see you in August. July has been rather hectic so far, for lot of people - added to which, John wrote off his Tuscan frown - you may have seen the thread.

See you Thursday smile

Unfortunately ca't make Kimbolton this year (really enjoyed last years doing the dream rides) as I'm up in Birmingham for the weekend.
Shame as it'd have been nice to show the Chim off one more time before she goes up for sale in August!

I was planning on helping you guys out this year.

Unfortunately my gearbox decided that 5th and 6th is overrated and I should only use 1 to 4 + R. As a result the roo will be with the menders for the foreseeable whilst the box goes in for surgery.

Good news is I shall get a LS7 clutch + flywheel fitted at the same time which will allow for future upgrades.

Hmmm, its all a bit of a puzzle at the moment, but still trying to identify the real cause of the problem. Obviously I am going to try as much as possible before resorting to replacing the Slave, but some of the symptoms are not adding up at the moment. Needless to say, I believe I will in the Chimaera for this years Event - which is certainly no hardship tongue out.

Looking forward to Sunday and a catch up smile

Glad you enjoyed it!
As yet no replacement, don't know how quickly the Chim will sell either. Some sell instantly whilst others seem to hang around for ages.
As for a replacement as yet I'm not sure. Won't be doing anything till after Feb next year when I get married, so means I'll be carless over winter. Then it depends on budget/work. Kinda liking the look of a Tuscan 2 but also on the list is a Cayman, Z4M coupe, Corvette Z06 or if I REALLY stretch a 355.

Me and Mrs T should be along to this on Sunday. We've been for the last 2 or 3 years and it's always been a good show with some beautiful cars to drool over.

No Lotus for us this year as that's been sold so we may have to 'slum' it in the main car park...unless they recognise the true sporting potential of a Suzuki Swift Sport!wink

Will be there armed with my camera so expect plenty of photos next week!
