Looking for some assistance in pointing me in the right direction .
I've got BEC (R1 Sylva Phoenix), problem is that it tops out too easily . The diff is a 3.54 at the moment and I need about 2.9. The gears will pull a longer diff but I don't know what's the easiest way to do this. I've not looked into changing the crown and pinion in mine as everyone's told me you can't get the ratio higher than 3.54 without spending stupid money .
Does anybody know of a diff with similar ratio to what I want so that I can change the rear end completely and go IRS (or De-dion) instead of the live axle in place? If I'm going to do it, might as well go the whole hog !
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are going IRS/DeDion, some Sierra diffs were 3.12... or was that 3.14? Only in the 7" types, and then only in the diesel versions, I think. No LSD versions available, but quaife may do something.
I had an LSD unit from my original 3.62 diff fitted with 3.36:1 gears in my Rush to lower the revs at speed. The chap said the 3.1_ gears would not take the LSD from the bigger diffs. Upgraded to an ATB instead LSD after a few years... expensive, but the improvement is very noticeable.
